My Trip to Rangitoto Island

On Wednesday the 15th of November 2017,room 9, room 10 and some of room 8 and room 7 went on a trip to Rangitoto Island to learn how Rangitoto Island was formed from  a series of volcanic eruptions under the sea.

First we went on the bus.On the bus we all sang lots of songs and played lots of games,We did a million jokes and we all laughed like we were silly clowns. It was a fantastic and amazing time on the bus.

Next we went on the ferry. Pitara, Mena, Mason, Jodacei,Penelope and I were  in a group,so we had to set together on one table. We had a elated time because we played I spy,we slept on each other and we saw Kelly Tarltons and One Tree hill. When I was on the ferry, I felt like I had know fear of going  on ferry anymore.

Then we arrived at Rangitoto Island, we went on the bridge. It was so terrifying when I walked on  it. My legs were wobbling like spaghetti and my arms froze into 2 cubes.

After the bridge,we went to the shelter. We took a quick snack and on we went to reach the top of the mountain. When me and my group member Mason reached  half way we were so tired that we were going to faint. Mason and I took a 50 seconds break and we carried on walking. When I got on the rock stairs I tripped and hurt my leg hitting the pointy part of it and Mason disappeared. I lied on the stairs and waited until he came back but he didn’t. Only 1 person came to me and it was my friend Kestrel.When I was lying on the stairs he started shouting out “HELP SOANE’S DEAD!!!”

When Kestrel was still shouting, my captain Mrs Lavender came and helped me. She gave me water  to drink and I felt better,then I carried on walking. When I stood up I just ran like I was a cheetah and reached the summit. When I reached the summit I quickly got my lunch and ate it all.

After we had lunch we went back down the hill and went on the ferry.

I would like to go to Rangitoto Island again.THE END

SHARK DAY

Kelly Tarltons

On Wednesday the 25th of October, Room 9 and Room 10 went on a trip to Kelly Tarltons to learn about marine animals and conservation of animals.

First we went to visit Robert Falcon Scott's hut.Robert Falcon Scott was a famous explorer.He explored Antarctica. He was a british royal navy officer and an experienced  adventurer who led two famous expeditions to the Antarctic locales. In the hut we saw bunk beds , clothes, a gramophone, a piano that was dusty, old books, utensils, can of beans and a projector.

Next we went onto the conveyor belt. When I went on the conveyor belt, Gideon and I felt so dizzy, we all looked like we were very,very drunk.

After we went to see the cute penguins. It was  hilarious when one penguin was screaming at the other penguin. We saw about five beautiful penguin eggs that were laid on the stones.I had a fantastic time at Kelly Tarltons.

I would like to go Kelly Tarltons again.

Holiday Experience

During the holidays I stayed home and played basketball with my big tall brother Sifa,,my sister Sia,my other sister Luisa,my big sister  Maryanne,my 2 little brothers Saia and Manu,my little sister Palu and 2 twin brothers Kuea and Viliami.We played basketball to enjoy family times.

First we set up the basketball hoop.We twisted the knob on the basketball and it went higher.It was very hard because the knob was too hard to twist.

Next we started to play basketball.My sister Sia and i teamed up to beat my 2 twin brothers Viliami and Kuea.I got a 3 pointer from a long distance and my brother Kuea got a layup.We had 3 points and my 2 brothers had 2 points.My sister got a 2 pointer and we won.When i won i felt like i was really Michael Jordan dunking.

After playing basketball we went inside and we ate chocolate ice-cream.It was very delicious.

Finally we went to sleep.

I heard a whisper

Once upon a time a poor family called the Boogersons  went to a creepy island.People never went to the island because it always hails and they said there was about 20 little hairy and ugly monsters who ate out of your brains.People said that when there was a big enormous thunder they were always there.       

The Boogerson’s spotted a strange crazy man walking with a bloody axe.The Boogerson’s was so dumb they ran to the crazy man and asked for a house to rest in. the crazy man actually answered back. He said there's a house at  that spooky mountain called freak woods.When the boogerson’s were traveling to freak woods they heard a deadly whisper from the bush beside them.They steared at the bush for 3 seconds and the whisper came up again.

The Boogerson’s ran as fast as they can like a cheetah with 1,000,000 boosters on it. When they reached freak woods it started to hail very hard like heavy titanium knives dropping from the sky.They didn’t see any house there but they did hear that whisper again.The Boogerson’s were very scared they used 10 coconuts, a big beehive and 3 pineapples for protection.They used the beehive to put on their heads.

The Next day the Boogerson’s woke up and heard a whisper again.The Boogerson’s wanted to find out who was whispering and they did. They saw a shadow whispering down at freak woods and they caught it with a big massive rock.The shadow got knocked out.The Boogerson’s ran all the way to the shadow and it disappeared like a person teleporting.The Boogerson’s were getting so tired they went for a 1 minute sleep.When the Booogerson’s woke up they heard a big enormous thunder.Every bush they were close to was whispering and suddenly 20 hairy and ugly monsters popped out and did a very big roar just like a lion.Now the Boogerson’s knew who was whispering but in 1 second the monsters attacked. The monsters were eating their arms and  legs. On that day the Boogerson’s got ripped apart.

So I am never going to a creepy island that hails very hard and that has  little hairy and ugly monsters whispering.THE END

George Adamson

George Adamson is a very, very famous conservationist. George Adamson was the pioneer of lion conservation.He is known as the father of lions.In February of 1956 the Adamsons acquired three lion cubs. Sadly two of the cubs, Lustica and the Big One went to a zoo but George and Joy kept the smallest cub which they had named Elsa.

George adamson was born in Etawah which is in India.He was 83 and he was born on the 3rd of February 1906.Sadly again, on August 20th,1989 George Adamson was murdered in Kenya, East Africa by Somalian bandits when he went to the rescue of his assistant and a young European tourist in the Kora National Park.It was very sad that Elsa died with her head on George's lap.

On the day that elsa died, George Adamson continued his work with Lions and helped many to have a free life

Digestion
