Blue Jandals and Bad Futures Task 9 - PWC

This final story is what got me really thinking. It got me really confused until I got there and completed it. It's about a horrible panic attack that occurred.

Going through all these stories was super fun. All those who wrote and drew these stories are very talented. I had a really fun time reading every single one of them. I learnt so much and my skills on describing things have gone really up there. Phenomenal job to me and those who created these wonderful stories (poems).

Bones Task 8 - PWC

This story is very deep and might be confusing when you read it at first. It's about the contact the sheep and the mud pond made.

Haka Task 7 - PWC

This story is honestly very true and traditional. It's about maori history behind the maori dance "Haka"

Hershey's Tiakarete Task 6 - PWC

This story is very heartwarming and cool at the same time. I'm gonna skip to the point real quick. It's basically about sharing and also Te-Reo maori.

Kayak Deluxe Task 5 - PWC

This story was immaculate. It is scary and motivating as well. It's about a Kayaker named "Tyler Bradt" who conquered a water fall he probably would've never done in a life time.

Lamb Roast Task 4 - PWC

I loved this story because how hilarious it was. It's about a dog talking in its mind on how a plate of lamb roast in front of it was making his/her mouth water.

Rex Martin's House Task 3 - PWC

This story right here was pretty much fantastic. It's about the story tellers dad and how he really gave his daughter a really good life to live in.

The Virtual World Task 2 - PWC

This story was very interesting. It's about "Imagination" and family routines as well.

Tornado Task 1 - PWC

This poem was outstanding. As you can see its basically about "Tornadoes"

Bok Choy - My Recap

This video here, is about my recap on this wonderful story "Bok Choy". I loved it a lot because it was based on racism and what racism can do to people. Everybody in this world are going through this type of thing so my message to you is "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere"

Technology - Invertebrates and Vertebrates

Today we learnt heaps about Invertebrates and Vertebrates. We learnt about the different habitats of many animals too. I loved today's session because animals are one of the basic things I used learn when I was little. At the end we had a fun kahoot game to play as well. I place 3rd but I still had a phenomenal time.

New Zealand History - Quote

This task here , I've completed is about the history of New Zealand. A Man named "Sam Rye" published this quote on Twitter and it just caught my eyes. Our task was to find a quote that's based on the history of New Zealand. I found this quote on Twitter and it was just outstanding. When looking at this quote please think hard and understand :D

Te Tiriti O Waitangi

This task , I had to answer some real difficult questions on the "Treaty of Waitangi". It took me a bit to fully understand some of them , but I did manage to complete it.

Trip to Snow Planet

My feet and arms freezing as my class and I enter the main field of Snow Planet. Walking through winter wonderland with happy faces excited to do some epic ice tubing. We all run up the hill filled with tons of snow and all start grabbing a tube. We keep running til we reach the top. We all slide down one by one with such joy in our faces. Racing each other, throwing soft objects at each other and mostly getting lots of snow in our clothing.  Huge collisions everywhere but no injuries. SMASH , POW and BOOM!!! goes the tubes hitting into the ramps. Everyone's laughing and as well scared as well. A few moments has passed and our time in the frosty snow has come to an end. My class and I exit the building feeling super warm but a bit sad that our trip has come to an end. This was a phenomenal experience and I cant wait for our next chilly adventure.

I learnt so much things, such as a tuck-sit, Motorbike Landing, Angry Cat, Happy Cat, Straddle and the L sit. There was so much falling down and laughter. This experience taught me so much and I cant wait for our next super fun session :))

Mud Run Trip

I was super tired as my mum screamed at me to get up. She was like "Soane get out of bed right now or else hiding". I got up super fast feeling the pain in my legs and as well feeling numb in the face. I ran to my device and checked the time. It was 5.43 in the morning. I was a bit angry at my mum , but I just forgot I had a early trip to Helensville for our Tough Boy & Gal Mud Run. I packed all my stuff including, my dirty clothes for the run, some leftover snacks, puffed jackets and a beanie and so as some towels & spare shoes.

A few moments later we appeared at the place. My friends and I were at the starting point.  I had a super fun experience running through the course and so as my friends. We were ultra muddy and as well as tired too. My friends and I ended the day off with a hot meal.

Statistics

Today for maths we did some statistics. I had so much fun and I had a lot of knowledge taught to me about statistics. I learnt how to find the average for teams scores and I loved doing it with my class.

Blues rugby Scores for 2021 season

19, 14, 24, 8, 9, 13, 16, 19, 6, 12 < Numbers of scores each week

Strategie :

Line it up to the smallest to the biggest

Mode >Most Occurring = 19, More Popular

Median >Middle = 14 is the Middle number between

Add all together and divide it with how much numbers who had

Mean >Average Rugby Scores=  14.4

Table Tennis - Last Session Reflection

Today it was our last session with our table tennis coach. We played super fun games such as "beat the champion" and "Around the world". I learnt different kinds of hand positioning when hitting the ping pong ball. The backhand and the front hand. I learnt the 2 ways to serve and I basically mastered the rules of the game. Our Table Tennis coach taught us many interesting things and we are highly grateful. Our session was fun, exhausting and very competitive. We played our guts off and competed with each other. It was the end of the day and we all packed up feeling sad that our table tennis lesson had come to an end  :(

Kiwican - Week 5 Session

Kia Ora, our Kiwican session today was great. There was some interruptions but we still got through the activity.  I learnt some pretty good facts about life. Achieving goals was the main key for our session. We played a fun game and had to right down 2 of our main short term goals for school. My goal was to step up as a more responsible leader. Kiwican was super fun and cant wait for our next fantastic session.

PBL - My House, Floor Plan Creator

(:Here are my floor plans :)
Hi there, architecture is what we have been learning at school. Our fun teacher showed us a super cool app or website on floorplancreator.net . We can basically create a house or building using shapes and the actual things in a house, like a bathroom and kitchen.

What I learnt from working through this activity was:
  • To always have a floor plan
  • To plan where the rooms should be
  • Measuring correctly
  • To Insert the right objects in your house/building
When I grow up, if I join the building industry, I would want to be an engineer

My Pepeha - 2021

Kiwi Can - Week 2 Discussion

Today was a pretty fun day. It made it even more better  when we went to Kiwi-can. We learnt a lot of things and also played super cool games. We learnt the importance of why you should tell the truth. If your own friend tells you to cover for him , so he can go to a rugby game. You would obviously want to back him up, but to do the right thing instead of lying , always tell the truth. No matter who the person is or what the situation is, still show integrity.

Coding with Microbits - Technology

Technology - Microbits

Talofa Lava, here is a fun activity I did at Technology. It was super fun playing with the microbit I had coded. We coded it to do all kinds of stuff like to play rock , paper , scissors and to play in the roll of a dice. We coded it to pick a random number up to 1 and 3. If it landed on 1 it would turn into scissors, if it landed on 2 it will transform into paper and lastly if it landed on 3 it would turn into rock. At the end we had a little game, playing rock paper scissors with all our micro bits. I ended up winning and had great smile on my face.

I really enjoyed working with our Coding teacher, Mrs Fergusson. :))

Cybersmart Activity 4

Measurement problem we solved today

Again with another great maths session with our wonderful teacher. We had to solve this difficult problem about fences and the area. Mr.Simi is the main character in the problem. He wants the biggest space(area) to work in and to build his family's plantation. I suggested he could do a rectangle with his  180 m wire. I estimated 60 for the height and 30 for the width. I multiplied, and  there I got the biggest area could add.

Measurement - Week 7-6 Non Unit Standard

Today's Math's session was super cool. We had to measure things using non unit standards. My group and I marked places so we know every metres we went through. We measured the width =223 and we measured the length =505. This was the perimeter of our school field. It was super fun playing around and it made me gain a lot of knowledge.

Thank you Letter - Sponser

I would like to give a big thank you to Reece painters for sponsoring our amazing prizes. I got beautiful puddings my kind teacher made for my prize and it was super delicious.  Measurement tasks for Friday 5 March 2021

Try to solve the problems independently.

You may use diagrams to explain your thinking.

We will discuss as a group what strategies you used to solve the problems

WALT: use multiplicative and/or additive strategies to solve  measurement problems.

  1. A student measures her height with a 30 cm long ruler. She finds that she is four and a half rulers high. How tall is she in cm? 135cm

  1. A student is told that they are 1.45 m tall. How tall is this in cm? 145cm

  1. If it takes 3 hours to drive 210 km, what was the average speed of the journey? 70 km/ph

  1. A class of 28 is split into small groups. How big can those groups be? 2 and 4

  1. A car, travelling at an average speed of 70 km/ph is in a journey of 210 km.

How long will the journey take? 3 hours

  1. A long distance swimmer takes 80 strokes to swim 100 metres. He wants to swim across Lake Taupo, a distance of 4200 metres. If he wants to swim lake Taupo he would need to do 32160 strokes to swim 4200 metres

a. How many strokes will it take for him to swim across the lake? 3360 strokes

b. If he can swim at a rate of 60 strokes per minute, how many minutes could he swim across the lake in? 56 minutes

c. Can he expect to beat the 2015 champion swimmer who crossed the lake in a time of 51 minutes and 48 seconds? No because if he does 60 strokes per minute he would finish in 3060 strokes

The Treaty of Waitangi - Poem

The Treaty of Waitangi

Causing so much chaos

Lives have been sacrificed

For a piece of paper

Bang!!!

Shooting emerges

As Lives have been taken

Bunch of Brave Buff Chiefs

Come in as the sun awakens

The treaty has been signed multiple times

Though they know they’ve been tricked

This was horrible and highly unacceptable

When the Maori's find out it will be unforgettable

The signing carries on

On two versions of the treaty

If only the Maoris knew

The British were cheeky

The madness has ended

The scam is over

The British needed land

That's why they took over

Unlucky for the Maori

It has been a disaster

Which was better of the treaty

Before or After?
