Water Fun Day

Today Glenbrae school had Water Fun Day. Everyone was prepared to get wet and have fun. All the classrooms were at their first stations. There were 4 house colors. Kowhai (yellow) Kauri (green)Nikau(blue) and Rata (red).

A few minutes later Mrs Tofa rang the bell. Everyone filled there cups with water, sprinted to there rubbish bins and tipped there water inside. My classroom's first station was the water slide. Everyone went sliding down and as they were sliding, they got sprayed with water right on the face . When the bell rang again everyone stopped and went to there next station. The water slide was so fun and it made my pants very squishy.

Next we went to walk the plank. We had to walk on the wobbly plank without falling on the lava. When making it over the wobbly plank we fill up our cups and race to the rubbish bins. As soon as Mrs Tofa rang the bell again I quickly ran over the plank, filled up my cup and zoomed to the rubbish bins. Kowhai (yellow) was the leading team right now. There rubbish bin were getting filled with lots and lots of water. When Kowhai reached the top, our lovely principle Mrs Elia took a bucket and scooped some of there water out. 

As the bell rang everyone walked to their next stations. My classrooms next station was the spongebob wet pants. We got into our house lines and had to fill our sponge up with water. Mrs Tofa rang the bell and my classroom quickly had to pass the sponge over our heads or under our legs to the person at the back. As soon as everyone's sponges reached the last person, the last person for each house raced to there rubbish bins and squeezed as much as water they could into there rubbish bin. A few moments later the bell rang. The whole school were so tired and were soaking wet.

Finally we went to our last station, the zig zag. The last bell rang. Everyone raced for their lives and were tipping as much water as they could. 5 minutes later the whole school were sitting on the court soaking wet. The teachers were measuring the rubbish bins to see who had the most water inside. After they measured the bins, our principal Mrs Elia announced the winning house…….. KOWHAI. Kowhai came first , Rata came second and Kauri and Nikau came third and fourth.  

Kowhai had a awesome prize. They had free time swimming in the pool well everyone had morning tea. Everyone was so jealous that Kowhai got to swim in the pool. But then something amazing happened. Guess what the whole school got. We all got delicious ice blocks for participating in our school water fun day.

This was a fun and exhausting day. I can't wait until next years next water fun day.
