Miracle on the Hudson SLJ W1 Day 2 Activity 3

For this activity, we would like to hear about a time when you, or someone you know, was brave like Sully.
On your blog, recount a time when you (or someone else you know) did something brave.
There I was with my family playing dodge ball out on our backyard. I was dodging a lot of balls that was been thrown-ed by my humongous brother. I kept on dodging when a ball came dashing right at me and knocked me off my feet. I was eliminated and I got hit by another ball even though I was out . I felt so furious at my brother so in the next round I wanted to get him back.

A few minutes later the next round began. As soon the word "Go" was said, my team rushed to the middle to get a ball. I grabbed a ball and straight away threw it and it accidentally hit my little brothers butt. I felt sad for him because I meant to hit my big brother with it.  I went everywhere trying to find a ball and suddenly my big brother threw a ball at me and it was going really fast. As soon as it reached me I caught it with my bear hands and eliminated him from the game.

After getting him out, I went to him and stood up for myself. I said to him "You shouldn't have hit me with the ball on the other round, but still good game". This taught me that if I could stand up to my brother I could stand up to anyone else.

Scaling New Heights SLJ W1 Day Activity 3

For this activity, please select a charity that you are interested in. You may choose your own or use one from our list . Read about the charity.
On your blog, write a short explanation of what the charity does.

I think im very interested in the SPCA. SPCA has been working willingly to look after the amount of 40,000 animals in New Zealand every year. SPCA has been taking care of the poor animals that have no where to live and been struggling to survive. This community has homes for animals and has proper food for animals. They also wash the animals to make sure no bacteria's are not on it. All im saying is that SPCA is a wonderful charity and I hope that they will carry on doing all the fantastic jobs they are doing.

Discovering Aoteroa SLJ W1 Day 1 Activity 2

For this activity we would like you to think about your own experiences and your own cultural background. Where does your family come from? Do they come from Europe like Abel Tasman, Polynesia like Kupe, or somewhere else?
On your blog, please tell us about your cultural background. Where do you and your family come from?

My family and I are very kind and generous. I have 8 brothers and 5 sisters living with me in an 2 story house. Its hard having 12 siblings but having them around  is so spectacular because they always keep me company.  My family and I come from the kingdom of Tonga just like the awesome Jason Taumalolo. My whole family loves being Tongan because we get to wear incredible clothes from Tonga, eat delicious food from Tonga and we get to teach some Tongan to others  My family and I are one hundred percent proud to be a Tongan.
