For this activity, let’s imagine that you were Neil Armstrong.
On your blog, write a short poem describing how you felt when you first set foot on the moon. Here is a link to some different poetry forms.
Rhyming poem
Im going to space to land foot on the moon
Im super excited ill be there very soon
Cant wait til my foot touches the moons surface
Im feeling crazy like chimps in the circus
5 hours later were at our destination
Time to have the biggest celebration
Ready to be the first person on the moon
As soon as its done im dashing around like a sharp harpoon
Hello Soane,
ReplyDeleteI am Vitaraag and I am participating in the Summer Learning Journey this year. I really like this blog post! Let em explain why I like it. Firstly, you made the poem rhyme. Even though poems don't have to rhyme you made it rhyme. Secondly, you showed us a picture to make the blog post way more interesting. If I was the first person on the moon I would be kinda scared, but also happy. Maybe next time you could say what the activity taught you. Overall, this is a phenomenal blog post! Keep up the astonishing work!

Kia ora Soane! How are you doing today? Olive here from the Summer Learning Journey. I'm a part of the Kaikohekohe Cluster and I've heard Manaia-Kalani learners are smashing out the activities, so I'm heading over to you!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your blog post! I really enjoyed reading about your visit to space, particularly landing on the moon! You must have been so excited! I think I would be. I hope the moon is super bouncy and that we can have moon-hopper races on the surface! Just like we do here on earth except we'd bounce so high!
I think you've been super creative and I've really enjoyed your use of descriptive words! Ka pai.
The image you've added with your face is super funny! I'm so impressed by your digital skills online. Well done.
Remember the end of the Summer Learning Journey is next Friday 24th January! Keep up the blogging, commenting and enthusiasm!
Ngā mihi,
Olive
Hi Soane this is Mrs Collins from Manaiakalani and I'll be commenting on blogs over term break. Well done on posting and participating in the SLJ this year. I really like the poem you created about walking on the moon - would you REALLY like to walk on the moon? I'm not too sure I'd like the journey there... Keep blogging, and commenting on others, to increase your chance of winning one of the awesome prizes and to keep up your learning over the school break!
ReplyDeleteHello Soane. Its me Augustine. I like your work.
